Fat Jimmy Vintage Series 5F6-A

The Fat Jimmy Vintage Series 5F6-A is our authentic recreation of the legendary 5F6-A ‘Tweed Bassman’ circuit. This circuit was featured in the 4 x 10” tweed ‘Bassman’ amplifier combos manufactured by the ‘Fender Electric Instrument Company’ from 1957 – 1959, and is universally recognized as one of the greatest guitar amplifiers of all time. Incredible chime with beautiful, rich clean tones at lower to moderate volumes, and what might be considered THE definitive rock & roll overdrive when turned up.

Enough said.

PLEASE NOTE: We now offer a different version than the one pictured!  We now make the 5F6-A head in the same small ‘avionic’ size, but as a single channel amp with two inputs and single volume control, not two.  We also offer the traditional 2 channel/4 input version in a slightly longer head, and also as a 1×12 combo!!  Our 1×12 combo is the same size as a Princeton Reverb for the ultimate “grab ‘n go” gigging package!
